The team at de.iterate is excited to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2023. de.iterate is a finalist in the Cyber Business of the Year category.

The Australian Defence Industry Awards is an exciting nationwide recognition program showcasing the outstanding individuals and businesses positively shaping the growth and development of Australia’s defence sector. The finalist list features over 211 high-achieving professionals across 29 submission-based categories.

Andrew Lawrence, Founder of de.iterate, said he was humbled to be recognised and proud to be named as a finalist in the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2023.

“Recognition of de.iterate’s contribution to the Defence industry reinforces the strength of our service and dedication to connecting with the community and engaging with clients,” Andrew added.

“The Department of Defence issues the most procurement contracts of all Commonwealth entities. In the 2021-2022 financial year, Defence was responsible for 56% of the 92,303 Commonwealth contracts worth a combined value of $80.8 billion.”

“All companies tendering for these contracts handle sensitive and classified information crucial to national security; they must have the ability to work on and store classified information and assets safely and securely.”

“Achieving ISO 27001 certification ensures that these firms uphold the highest standards of information security management. This not only fortifies the integrity and confidentiality of defence-related data but also bolsters trust and credibility among stakeholders and partners in the defence sector.”

“de.iterate streamlines the ISO 27001 compliance process to make privacy and cybersecurity simple and stress-free for growing businesses. Our approach helps mitigate risk and improve operations – all through a single, integrated platform that is easy for employees to understand and use.”

“de.iterate is proud to partner with Australia’s defence supply chain, and help all of its members protect Australia’s national security,” said Andrew.

The prestigious event offers leading professionals and their businesses the opportunity to highlight their achievements, build exposure, and support the expansion of their careers and companies.

This national awards program – which culminates in the black-tie gala event in Canberra – will help forge closer connectivity in the sector and give greater visibility to the business of defence in Australia.

Securing a place as a finalist is widely recognised as a remarkable achievement in the defence industry. It signifies the resolute determination and steadfast commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.

“The Australian Defence Industry Awards is our opportunity to recognise those professionals and businesses who have excelled in the last year, and made Australia a safer and more prosperous nation,” Liam Garman, Editor of Defence Connect said.

“I warmly congratulate all those who have been shortlisted as finalists, and look forward to seeing you all on the 21st of September to celebrate your accomplishments!”
